Create fuller, thicker lashes effortlessly
Updated: Feb 20, 2024

What is Invisible Eyeliner?

Lash enhancement, or invisible eyeliner, involves tattooing an ultra-thin black line along the top eyelash line from eyelash to eyelash. This creates the illusion of fuller, thicker, and darker lashes. It’s a great solution for those seeking natural-looking, healthier lashes without the need for mascara. The procedure enhances the overall appearance of your eyes while maintaining a subtle, natural look.

How Long Does Lash Enhancement Last?

The effects of lash enhancement can last anywhere from 1 to 5 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and maintenance. A touch-up is recommended every few years to keep your lashes looking fresh and defined.

Can I Wear Contact Lenses After the Procedure?

You should arrive at your appointment without contact lenses. It's recommended to bring a pair of glasses with you if needed. You will not be able to wear contact lenses for the first 3 days after the procedure.

Can I Have Lash Extensions Before My Procedure?

It is recommended to remove any lash extensions before your procedure. Extensions should be removed at least one week prior to the appointment to avoid any reactions to the removal solution. You should also wait at least 14 days after the procedure before getting new lash extensions.

Can I Use Lash Growth Enhancement Products Before My Procedure?

Discontinue the use of all eyelash growth products (such as Latisse) for at least 30 days before your appointment. These products may cause inflammation, which could interfere with the procedure and healing process.

What if I Have an Eye Condition?

If you have any medical conditions related to your eyes, such as glaucoma, you must provide written permission from your physician before undergoing permanent eyeliner treatment.

Can I Tint or Perm My Lashes Before the Procedure?

You should avoid tinting or perming your lashes within 48 hours of your procedure. Also, wait at least 14 days post-procedure before tinting or perming your lashes.

What Should I Avoid Before the Procedure?

Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements like fish oil, Vitamin E oil, alcohol, ibuprofen (Advil, Aleve, Aspirin), or any medications that thin the blood 24 hours before your appointment. For prescribed blood thinners, please contact your physician about discontinuing them for 3-5 days before your procedure.

Skincare Products to Avoid

Stop using Retinol or Glycolic Acid products at least 2 weeks before your appointment to avoid irritation during the procedure.

How Soon Can I Wear Makeup After the Procedure?

You cannot wear mascara, eyeliner, or eye shadow for at least 7 days after the procedure to avoid infection and irritation. Please avoid using any lash curlers or false eyelashes as well.

Post Procedure Care

Aftercare is just as important as the procedure itself. Follow these tips to ensure the best results:

  • Your permanent eyeliner will appear darker and bolder for the first 5-7 days. This is normal and will soften over time.
  • Do not attempt to lighten or conceal the eyeliner with makeup.
  • Touch-up visits are typically scheduled 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure to perfect your results.
