What is Lips Blushing?

Lips are more than a sign of beauty, they are a distinctive aspect of people’s facial structure and one of the first things we notice while looking at someone’s face. Lips are so important that they are capable of transforming the perception we have of a face. Whether thick, fine, pale, or pink, they require special care to intensify their beauty. Lip micropigmentation has become a fashion trend in recent years to achieve this enhancement.

How Does Lip Micropigmentation Work?

The lips micropigmentation treatment is performed with a special needle that allows you to define and design the lip contour. This procedure must be performed gradually to obtain high-quality results. Thanks to the use of hypoallergenic inorganic pigments, the risk of an allergic reaction is drastically reduced to a minimum.

How Long Does Lips Blushing Last?

One of the significant advantages of lip micropigmentation is its duration. The effects of this procedure can last between 3 to 5 years, although results may vary depending on factors such as skin tone, age, beauty routine, and more. It is recommended to have a touch-up session after 18 months to enhance the color and shine of your lips.

Does the Lip Blush Procedure Hurt?

Micropigmentation is a process similar to tattooing, and lip micropigmentation works by introducing pigments under the skin through special needles. Although the pain levels during this procedure are generally tolerable, they can vary from person to person. The skin around the lips is very sensitive, so the procedure may take around 2 hours to complete. However, an anesthetic cream is used to relieve discomfort throughout the treatment.

How Many Sessions Are Needed?

After the first session, a second touch-up session is necessary to fill in some small areas that could not be fully covered or detailed during the first session.

Post Procedure Care

Follow these steps during your healing process to ensure the best results:

  • Avoid steam booths, saunas, swimming pools, excessive training, direct sun exposure (including tanning treatment), or any facial procedures.
  • Do not apply makeup to the lips area during the healing process.
  • You will be able to apply makeup to the area once the healing process is complete.
  • DO NOT PEEL OR SCRATCH THE TREATED AREA.
  • Keep your lips moisturized throughout the healing process. Vaseline is ideal to prevent your lips from drying out.
